Technical Project Manager
The Web Development area is responsible for the conception, design, development and deployment of Rich Web Applications software solutions. From the very beginning of setting requirements, by way of outlining architecture and data models, choose the best technology until the last layer of the user interface. The main technological stack is based on Java and JavaScript for backend and middleware layers such as Node.js along with JavaScript-based frameworks such as Angular and React for frontend development.
YOUR ROLE
As a Technical Project Manager, you will play a central role in outlining, developing and deploying software projects. You will be responsible for technical and technological decisions as well as prioritising requirements and monitoring the evolution of the release plans of the projects you’ll be involved with.
Your daily activities will include:
- Brainstorming sessions with clients about the projects’ requirements
- Participating in the planning and technical team’s project organisation
- Scheduling and delegating project tasks and responsibilities to team members
- Suggesting and evangelising all teams to adopt the best practices towards the success of the project
- Executing and monitoring the project’s release plan according to the development methodology
- Acting as a central point of communication among the various teams involved in the projects
- Making decisions that influence project roadmaps
- Ensuring proper deployment and evolutionary monitoring of projects
- Promoting feedback sessions for the client’s technical team on ongoing project status as well as suggesting improvements that add value to the solution
SKILLS YOU NEED TO HAVE
- MSc / BSc in Information Systems and Computer Engineering and/or Computer Science
- Sound technical knowledge and experience (5+ years) in Java-based technology
- Professional experience (2 + years) managing IT projects using AGILE methodologies (e.g. Scrum)
- Prior experience (2+ years) as Technical Project Manager or a similar role
- Knowledge of work management tools like Trello, JIRA, Confluence or similar
- Professional experience with team leadership and organisation
- Attention to detail and quality evangelist
- Team player and technical problem-solving skills
- Sound communication skills (written and spoken)
- English proficiency
