Quality Improvement Specialist
The Quality Improvement area at Xpand IT is dedicated to the continuous enhancement of all company processes and supporting teams in improving the quality of their day-to-day work. They promote the implementation of best practices related to Data Protection and Information Security. They are also responsible for ensuring the implementation of our Integrated Management System through conducting internal audits, managing the performance framework, collecting and analysing indicators, training, coaching, and maintaining the system in all its aspects.
YOUR ROLE
As a Quality Improvement Specialist at Xpand IT, you will be part of the Quality Improvement area. Your mission involves continuously improving all processes across various teams and the company itself. You will be responsible for promoting best practices related to Data Protection and Security, implementing new processes and adopting new regulations (e.g., DORA) within the organization. You will also be responsible for implementing our Management System through internal audits, developing metrics, training, coaching, and general system maintenance.
Daily, you will be responsible for:
- Managing processes interacting with all sponsors, from the Board, internal teams/clients to suppliers, to ensure the success of ongoing projects;
- Creating a positive impact on our teams, promoting agile dynamics and approaches at all levels;
- Serving as a mentor, coach, leader, and utilizing agile principles and respective processes;
- Inspiring teams and the organization to continually improve their ways of working;
- Providing practical coaching to teams in all aspects of best practices;
- Guiding teams in the development of metrics and estimates and periodically reviewing the process to enhance forecasts and reduce potential risks;
- Gathering feedback and continuously improving our processes, guidelines, training materials, and content;
- Ensuring the application of standards that guide, coordinate, simplify, and unify criteria for the organization, with the purpose of increasing efficiency, establishing common criteria for evaluation, and controlling management.
SKILLS YOU NEED TO HAVE
- Master’s degree in Engineering, Management, or similar fields of study;
- Comprehensive knowledge of ISO 27001 standards, specifically regarding the establishment, implementation, maintenance, and continuous improvement of the information security management system within the organization’s context.
- Full understanding of the GDPR;
- Over 3 years of experience in managing and implementing departmental and/or organization-wide processes;
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint;
- Deep understanding of agile and Lean thinking, values, and principles;
- Fluency in English (written and spoken);
- Creative, proactive, and collaborative abilities;
- Critical thinking;
- Ability to collaboratively solve problems;
- Ability to adapt to different contexts, teams, and clients;
- Strong communication skills;
- Ability to think outside the box and create multidisciplinary solutions.
Skills that will be valued:
- Solid knowledge and application of agile methodologies (e.g., Scrum and/or Kanban), as well as scaled agile methodologies (e.g., SAFe or LeSS);
- Knowledge and experience with tools supporting agile methodologies (e.g., JIRA, Confluence, or Azure DevOps);
- Knowledge and experience in identifying and applying OKRs;
- Knowledge about the new DORA regulation;
- Knowledge about the NIS or NIS2 directive.
