Senior Infrastructure Engineer
The Digital Xperience area at Xpand IT is a fast-growing technological team that focuses on Microsoft and Mobile technologies. The main mission is to deliver high-quality software solutions that respond to end-user needs, in a continuously demanding and fast-paced technological world, providing the best experience in terms of personalisation, performance and features. We take advantage of a set of state-of-the-art frameworks and tools such as Kubernetes for deploying Azure Apps and .Net Core for Web development.
But that’s not all: our team also works with Kotlin and Swift for native App development and Xamarin or Flutter for cross-platform App development, deploying and integrating our Apps into Microsoft and Azure ecosystems.
YOUR ROLE
As a Senior Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Participating in the application of modernization projects that include infrastructure components and Cloud Azure;
- Optimization and configuration of virtual infrastructures, dealing with Virtualization, IP segregation, Firewalls, Networking rules and creation of virtual machines (VMs);
- Installation, configuration, monitoring and maintenance of solutions, new implementations, evolution, management and modernization of
- Infrastructure and Networking;
- Analyzing and solving problems related to storage solutions, backup, monitoring and associated systems;
- Working with virtual networks and subnets (vnet, subnet);
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team with experience in Kubernetes and Terraform, following DevOps approaches.

SKILLS YOU NEED TO HAVE
- Degree / Master in Information Technology Management and/or Computer Science;
- At least 3 years of professional experience as a Systems Administrator, Site Reliability Engineer, Cloud Engineer, DevOps Engineer or similar;
- Good level of English (written and spoken);
- Proven professional experience with virtualization and creation of virtual machines (VMs), virtual networks and storage in on-premises or hybrid infrastructure;
- Experience with the Microsoft Azure Cloud platform;
- Experience with support, implementation or monitoring of hybrid or Cloud infrastructure;
- Knowledge of Active Directory, Domain Controllers and Group Policies;
- Knowledge of Load Balancing concepts;
- Security knowledge such as VPN and firewalls.

- Knowledge of Cloud Microsoft Azure, Containers, AKS (Azure Kubernetes Service) or Docker;
- Experience with automation tools (such as Terraform, Ansible or Bicep);
- Knowledge of Cloud Providers other than Azure (such as GCP or AWS);
- Experience with CI/CD tools (such as GitHub Actions or Azure Pipelines).
