Full Stack Engineer
* Please note that most of the time you’ll work fully remote, except in occasional circumstances.
The Business Intelligence & Analytics team aims to ensure that organizations are able to get more value from their data and become truly data-driven. In order to achieve these goals, we developed a product called Write-Back that aims to extend functionalities of an analytics solution, Tableau. At this moment the product has already been acquired by several renowned companies worldwide but is constantly evolving, adding new features in various aspects and, as such, with constant technical challenges.
YOUR ROLE
As a FullStack Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development of a product. You will participate in the central structuring of the application as well as in the user interface planning, presentation of controls and activity. At Xpand IT you will work mainly with java and JavaScript-based technologies, in a collaborative environment.
Your daily activities will include:
- Analyzing and defining application requirements and translating them into technical services
- Using/suggesting current programming languages to create user-friendly web interfaces
- Designing and creating mockups and designing different quality prototypes
- Optimizing applications for maximum performance and ensuring compatibility across browsers and different devices
- Designing and developing backend application services using best practices and design standards
- Recommending solutions comparing advantages and disadvantages of alternative development strategies
- Integrating application modules by developing APIs / services
- Ensuring correct performance, security and scalability of backend services
- Ensuring that unit/integrated tests are properly updated and correct, ensuring the integrity of the continuous integration mechanism

SKILLS YOU NEED TO HAVE
- Degree and/or Master in Informatics and Computers, Information Systems or Computer Science;
- Professional experience (more than 2 years) as a Developer in technologies based on JavaScript, HTML5 and CSS3;
- Knowledge with front-end development frameworks such as React or Angular;
- Professional experience (more than 2 years) as a Developer in Java-based technologies;
- Knowledge with backend development frameworks such as Spring;
- Experience in implementing advanced and complex software solutions following the appropriate design standards, namely in the implementation of REST service APIs;
- Experience in database management tools such as MS SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL;
- Experience in using development support tools such as Eclipse, Maven, Jenkins, GIT, JIRA or equivalent;
- Responsibility and organization;
- Good team player and skills in solving complex problems and challenges;
- Good communication skills (written and spoken);
- English Proficiency (written and spoken).

- Knowledge of shell scripting
