Senior Project Manager

At Xpand IT, our Big Data technology area develops and implements architectures and software solutions for capturing, ingestion, storage, and management of critical data from large information clusters where the 3Vs are always present: Volume, Velocity, and Variety. We use a set of advanced frameworks like Spark, Kafka, Hive/Impala, Azure Data Services, or MongoDB to interact with these frameworks, using Java and Scala as programming languages.

Our secret is having a multidisciplinary team with first-rate skills to leverage distributed data processing platforms, combined with an agile and interactive approach with strong technological partners.

YOUR ROLE

This is a full-time hybrid role for a Senior Project Manager at Xpand IT. The Senior Project Manager assumes responsibilities ranging from managing customers and teams to managing the scope, time, and cost of projects. It must act as a central point of communication between internal teams directly or indirectly involved in the project and external interlocutors. The type of projects is varied, but it focuses mainly on technologically advanced projects applied to streaming and large-scale data processing.

SKILLS YOU NEED TO HAVE

Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering or related field;
At least 2 years of experience as a Service Lead, Project Manager, Scrum Master, or equivalent in the IT area;
Proficiency with project management methodologies (Waterfall, Scrum) and tools to support development (Confluence, JIRA, Git, Jenkins, Bamboo);
Knowledge of software development best practices;
Interest in data platforms and their architecture;
Excellent communication and collaboration skills;
Ability to work independently and remotely;
Fluent English (written and spoken);
PMP and/or SCRUM certification will be a plus.
